Engagement flow

Twelve stages.Any one of them can end the work.

An engagement is a controlled sequence, not a deliverable schedule. Each stage has an owner, an entry condition and an output that the next stage depends on.

Stages

From first contact to verified correction.

01

Request an examination

An intelligent intake captures the concern, the period, the parties, the systems and the outcome you need. No sensitive evidence is uploaded through the public form.

02

Conflict and authority review

Before any records are received we confirm requester authority, check for conflicts, and determine whether the engagement should be directed by counsel.

03

Scope Builder

A proposed scope is generated from the intake: questions, population, period, parties, systems, exclusions, deliverables, schedule and retention requirements.

04

Secure evidence intake

Evidence enters through controlled channels. Every item receives an evidence ID, cryptographic hash, custodian, collection method and access classification. Originals are preserved and analytical copies are made separately.

05

Data mapping and normalization

The platform determines what each field means and how independent systems connect: customers, applications, devices, representatives, locations, dates, status changes, compensation and adjustments.

06

Forensic baseline

Periscope learns the operation before declaring anything unusual: volumes, conversion and cancellation rates, timing differences, approved exceptions, seasonality, geography and data-quality issues.

07

Continuous examination

Eight forms of intelligence run against the population: rule, relationship, sequence, behavioral, comparative, financial, temporal and cross-system.

08

Human forensic validation

No high-severity finding goes from an algorithm to the client. An investigator reviews source evidence, completeness, alternative explanations, contractual basis, participants and confidence.

09

Finding creation

A validated finding records what was observed, why it is unusual, the systems and rules involved, the evidence, the timeline, the effect, the alternatives considered, confidence, severity and reviewer approval.

10

Escalation

Severity determines the response, from inclusion in the next report through immediate executive and counsel escalation. You decide who receives each level.

11

Client response

Acknowledge, request more analysis, explain, upload evidence, assign internally, refer to compliance or counsel, begin remediation, dispute, or close with a documented reason. Nothing disappears because of disagreement.

12

Remediation verification

The promised correction is recorded, the expected measurable result is defined, monitoring continues, and Periscope tests whether the anomaly actually stopped or displaced elsewhere.

What the client sees

Findings and decisions, not the engine.

  • Findings released only after validation and independent review.
  • The evidence and calculation behind every material statement.
  • Outstanding data requests and integrity status.
  • Reports, exhibits and exposure summaries.
  • A recorded decision and response for each finding.
  • Remediation progress and whether the correction was verified effective.

Detection logic, thresholds, weighting, model configuration, internal notes and unvalidated signals are never released. Clients receive Periscope Command, not the analyst environment.

If the numbers have stopped agreeing with each other, that disagreement is evidence.
